Sunset
My eyes rest,
upon sunsets.
And,
the wind whirls,
and,
the leaves swirl,
and,
the nightfall turns,
and,
how Autumn yearns...
To let go of old,
turn green to gold.
Let death unfold,
a new story told.
Autumn sunset,
you shine on me.
Beautifully.
Allowing me,
to—
let go of me.
And so,
the tears flow,
and,
my heart knows,
and,
what’s true is true,
and,
it’s nothing new.
I can finally see,
where I can be.
What I can be.
Who I can be.
Autumn sunset,
I sit and rest.
Gracefully.
You allow me,
to—
be truly me.
