I didn't bring my sunglasses, to stand here in your shade

I think I'll follow my rules now, not the ones that you made

If you don't like the way that sounds, well then, go on your way

I'm not letting your shadiness darken anymore of my days

~

I'm driving round in sunshine, my hand waving out the window.

Singin loud, no map to show me where I've got to go

I got some big plans, and no schedule to tie me down

I'm doing better with myself, than I was with you around

~

So go on then, keep walking, go and rattle someone else's chain

I don't need to be held down or captive, drowning in your blaming game

Maybe you'll find another, that can live up-to your standard

I'm living in my own truth now, no longer weighed down by your slander

~

I'm driving round in sunshine, with my hand waving out the window.

Singin loud, no map to show me where I have to be

I've got big, big plans, with no schedule to tie me down

I'm doing better with myself now, than I was with you around
