Summits of Solitude
A traditional villanelle rhyme scheme poem

Upon the peaks, where echoes find their way
A solitary hiker treads the trail
In nature's embrace, where spirits play
The mountain winds, a wild and ancient tale
Whispering secrets through the pine and shale
Upon the peaks, where echoes find their way
A distant eagle soars, an upward sail
Above the valleys, in the sun's bright hail
In nature's embrace, where spirits play
The trail unfolds, a rugged, winding bay
Through rocky paths, where mountain goats survey
Upon the peaks, where echoes find their way
The air is thin, where dreams and clouds array
A pilgrimage where solitude holds sway
In nature's embrace, where spirits play
The summit reached, a vista to survey
A world below, where cares begin to sway
Upon the peaks, where echoes find their way
In nature's embrace, where spirits play
