I love the way summer is trapped in the lace of your fingertips,

a whisp of summer’s sweet kiss.

Honeysuckles, how they dance upon those lips.

How the sugar lasted just one more year.

I watch you run,

toes caressing.

As they create a tune of variations of sage,

mints,

greens,

and scents of a haunted forest.

We feel the grasses dance between our souls,

Listening to the call of a hidden in a valley,

I can see your eyes fill with dreams,

Lusting in ways only one would sing.

As your voice carries nature’s remembering,

I can feel your heart race beneath a forest’s thrumming.
