Summer breezes and Oklahoma winds
Tussles your lioness's mane of hair.
As we float down the rivers gentle bends
and we gulp down deep breaths of country air.
Sun up to sun down, we share in our talks:
love, fears, dreams; our hopes to avoid more harm.
Sun down to sun up, the nightingale stalks,
while we dream softly in each others arms.
The hot hot heat, and Oklahoma sun
hardly compare to your radiant smile.
It makes me start to sweat and my thoughts run
Deeper into your love with each passed mile.
The smell of the creek and forest musk sweet,
My hand in your hand, the summer complete.
