For the ones whose discipline I envy
Drenched in determination
Insatiable, though he aches and pains
Says he has no time for temptation
Taking charge and chasing those gains
Rest and relaxing are alluring distractions
As is that cold brew after a long, hard day
Cut out the noise, keep your eye on the attractions
Try to entice him, from his path he refuses to stray
Inspired and inspiring, a tale worth telling
Onwards, though his muscles are rebelling
Never giving up, a quality most compelling.

On Winning and Losing
