Summer’s Sun

Moon’s Sister

On this hot day, I feel vanquished

The sun gives life, but I feel languished

The bees are buzzing

As the heat keeps coming

There’s no where to hide

Just don’t break your stride

Just keep going

Like a boat rowing

The day starts to fade

As it gets late

The moon appears

As the heat evaporates

Then a new day will come

And so will the sun

You pray two months would pass

You wish it won’t last

It can bring pain

You can be drained

But, we know the truth

There’s living proof

All life needs her

After all, she’s the moon’s sister
