Summer's Day

In Cairns my summer’s day is fantastic

From beach to rainforest, it is the best

With a friend, the time spent is romantic

We wander here and there, and pause to rest.

Starting by the water, it keeps us cool

The sandy shore is a place to keep calm

Not just by the beach, but a lovely pool

Coconut palms so green and full of charm.

We chat and relax with a welcome drink

Time passes slowly, as we think of home

But home is far away, and just a blink

Our new heaven has many scenes to roam.

Dear Cairns, I drink to you in our café

I will never forget my holiday!
