Summer in the Deep South

a poem

Summer in the Deep South;

Louisiana

Super hot, I do not mind

Super humidity, I can do without;

Chances for thunderstorms

varying temperatures

from 99 to 110 heat indexes,

then the possible hurricanes

that when over more humidity.

Can not wait for Autumn to

start and somewhat cooler temps,

hopefully!?

Summer in the Deep South

Sweat and more sweat

windows open

no help there

air conditioning not really feeling cool

at times too hot for it to be of a

HELP!

Early morning still pretty warm

then a hour later blistering hot and humid

with maybe a rainstorm that only cools

while it is raining

Summer in the Deep South

give me snow and ice in the North, anytime compared

to this stuff.
