Summertime in the city
New York to be exact
It’s hard to stay pretty
When sweat’s dripping down your back
But we didn’t care
We played in the sun
No worries about our hair
Just wanted to have fun
We jumped double Dutch
From day until night
We loved it so much,
We ignored mosquito bites
If summertime didn’t have to end,
I’d still be outside with my friends
