School bags hit the corners
Uniforms disappear
Days suddenly feel endless
Best time of the year
Ice cream by the seaside
Sand beneath bare feet
Music from fairground rides
Floating through the heat
Late nights in the garden
Stars hanging overhead
Parents calling loudly
When kids should be in bed
Friends ride bikes till sunset
Football in the park
Fireflies start dancing
Right before the dark
No homework waiting sadly
No classroom bells to hear
Only sunny mornings
Filled with endless cheer
Photographs get taken
Memories softly stay
Tiny golden moments
That never fade away
Summer holidays schools out
Young hearts feeling free
