Rapunzel felt the heat upon her face

and pulled her hair away from sweaty skin.

The summer sun, delicious in this place;

It crept inside, and heated from within.

She thought the time was ripe to cut her hair.

Although her trademark, she was more than that.

Without the hair, she felt her given fare

would be more just. And she could wear a hat!

Of course, without the hair she had no way

to leave the tower in the sky. And so

she stocked her place with tanning gels. She’ll say

her life is better. She is never low.

Summer heats the world from sky to ground.

Does rise: our mood, all color and all sound.
