Epilogue

Thump, thump, thump, the drums ring in the distance. Listen closely and hear them sing.

Come now shall we gather in the river God is speaking.

(pause)

Steady and poised hands dance across the drums surface, resounding thump, thump, thump.

Come now shall we gather in the river God is speaking.

(pause)

Thump, thump, thump the drums bellow, vibrating under ardent hands until they still.

On the breath of the wind, a loud voice thunders, splitting open the sky, asservating, "and we shall call her Sula, for she bears the mark of peace."

Lift up your eyes to the heavens, Sula, and survey the splendor and bliss of God. Consecrate yourself to He who created such wonders of the universe and abide in the bosom of the Lord forever.

Cast down all idols. Purge all earthly desires. Forfeit all contrived ambitions. Denounce all lemans. Divorce all conjured inhibitions. Offer unto God that which you hold most dear, and experience true salvation that extends beyond forgiveness of sin and touches unbound freedom; and know what it is to grow as ivy grows, overtaking obstacles with ease as you extend into new territories.

Release to receive all that has been spoken of; for this is God's commandment to you, Sula, release to receive.
