Terry had planned to spend his evening watching TV, but Danny texted him about a new snack shop that had just opened downtown. “They’ve got everything,” Danny said. “You’ve gotta check it out.”

Terry knew he should say no. He’d been doing so well. But curiosity got the better of him. The shop was a candy-lover’s paradise. Shelves were lined with jars of brightly colored gummies, chocolate-covered pretzels, and every kind of candy bar imaginable.

There was even a section dedicated to rare treats imported from other countries. Terry’s mouth watered as he walked through the store. He could feel the temptation pulling at him, stronger than ever.
