Such times together.

A subtle touch of comfort with your head upon my chest,

The sound of rushing rivers as the sun sets in the west,

The tender touch of the breeze with the scent of lilies there,

A smile upon our faces, the caress that spoke of a tender care,

“The days go by, we labor still, we rest when time is free,

Toss about, to and fro, as uncertain as the mood of the sea,

Yet such times are better invested, the days are wiser spent,

With you alone and by my side, two hearts for each other, meant,

So rest my dearest love, be at peace, anxious heart,

For the day is sooner over, and yet again, to start,

Rest well, my dearest love, sleep well, let your spirit mend,

Such days are better endured with you, my dearest, beloved, friend…
