Stuck In My teeth
Don't Turn Around
It sat on my tongue
the fear in my mouth
Carelessly strung
from true north to south
My entire being
was fraught in despair
Afraid of someone or something
that may not even be there
A hint or suggestion
of someone behind
Stirred the ominous question
with no answers to find
Begging for intervention
to save me from my mind
Neverminding to mention
my sanity resigned
To the depths of my torment
to the end of the line
grasping for reinforcements
to strengthen my spine
But alas, I am tortured
my fate undisclosed
I must continue forward
my frame of mind predisposed
Whatever the outcome
whatever happens to me
I was soundly outdone
but never let out a scream
