Strong Woman

A place in my life,

Where I don't continuously

Want to start again,

Go back & erase those mistakes,

That caused me so much;

Ache.

But then again,

I wouldn't be half the woman I am today.

Standing here,

Telling you

That through those choices,

Whether they were my own

Or inflicted by others.

I have grown;

Comfortable

& empowered in my own skin,

My own spirit.

I no longer feel inferior

To self-doubt of others,

Including my own;

A fixation that followed my path

For far too long.

But, let me contentedly tell you

That I've become;

The warrior I always was.

Cause' I will fight,

Not with violence or callous words that we see today,

But with love,

Truth & compassion;

Something I think we should all seek & conquer.
