how well you know somebody

"You can never completely know anyone, no matter how well you think you do"- Susane Colosanti.

You can think you are so close to somebody

Like you are attached by strings

You can think they are perfect

No flaws, not hiding anything

You can think you truly know everything about them

But once you see a glimpse of the real them

Their true colours start to show

The strings begin to cut themselves off

One by one

Once all their truth is revealed, there are no longer any strings left attached

Now you are left there looking at a stranger, unlettered.
