Strawberry Field
Prompt Number 2 by JFHadfield!!
There was an unfortunate typo in my last article I am trying to fix now. In an exhausted stupor I linked in my article to the amazing poet I was inspired by (foolish human)
She goes by JFHadfield and you really should go follow!
Check out my second prompt below.
(S/n she has July prompts up which I wanna do 😭 but I already overcommit so yea— we’ll see how this thing plays out in the end)
Ooh if you like strawberries keep reading please!
Strawberry
You leave me tasting
Strawberry
And excitement rushes to fill this vacant lot
But I wear my patience
Strawberry seeds
Planted thoughts from enchanted eyes leave my chest in knots
Like your lace teddy the
Strawberry one
Or your heels after wearing your heels with the bottoms that were
Strawberry
But back to ground breaking lots
I’ve seen pavement buckle
So i pray stay humble
And patient
I love fruit—
And you know that I love gardening, too
So I told myself I’d build you a greenhouse
On a vacant lot
I grew up, bouncing between vacant lots
and it’s something about the taste of
your strawberry that’s almost home
About the Creator
The Bridge Theory Project
The Bridge is, well, the relational environment in which we experience psychosocial safety or psychosocial strain. And how we adapt to that is a representation to how successfully we develop at every subsequent section of the bridge.
