Strawberry

It is not a cherry

But they can make you merry

They come in red

Not good when they are dead

But they can keep you fed

A juicy one will look like it has been bled

No mistaking all that red

Can grow some next to the shed

Don't be misled

Nothing much to be left unsaid

Some might take them and then be fled

Remember they are very sweet

Eat them and you will feel complete

Make sure not to leave them on your seat

Enjoy them but be discrete

The best ones will be very very sweet

A great gift when you meet

Will make you merry

Nothing quite like a strawberry
