Sir Quest and Friend

Long ago, in days of yore,

'ere all of you were born

A knight set out on fiery steed

through misty light of 'morn

This knight, the kingdom's best was he

'twas noble, brave and true

His quest: to bring back varied tales

and legends, old and new.

Of dragon's fire

Of love's desire

Upon a story quest went he

In foreign lands

On burning sands

Across a never-ending sea

Tales of kings and vagabonds

Beyond the moon and sun

A story quest,

A story quest,

A crusade had begun.

On every quest, he jousts with words

to fill an empty page

With valiant pen, he writes them down

A battle he must wage.

To far off lands, he travels on

for stories to pursue

His quest: to bring back varied tales

and legends old and new.

A pot of gold

Ice caverns cold

Upon a story quest went he

To kingdoms far

Upon a star

A story to set free

Tales of tragedy and laughter

Ancient days long gone

A story quest,

A story quest,

The challenge carries on.

T'was long ago I left my home

Upon a misty morn'

Upon my steed, through forest deep

On pathways old and worn

Sir Quest, am I, that errant knight

The noble, brave and true

My quest: to bring back varied tales

And legends old and new.

A battle in a forest deep

A kiss to wake enchanted sleep

Upon a story quest I go

With gypsy song

Or drumbeat strong

A lullaby sung soft and low

Tales of fools and wizards

Over hill and dale

A story quest,

A story quest,

What stories I'll unveil!

Upon my quest I must return

In search of stories to unfold

A crusade, never-ending

to find the legends to be told

Sir Quest, am I, that errant knight

the noble, brave and true

My quest: to bring back varied tales

and legends old and new.

A battle in a forest deep

A kiss to wake enchanted sleep

Upon a story quest I go

With gypsy song

Or drumbeat strong

A lullaby sung soft and low

Stories last forever

Over hill and dale

A story quest,

A story quest,

For legend, myth, and tale!
