In days of old, when tales were told
A young girl named Maria, brave and bold
The world beyond her village, wild and free
She packed a small bag, and bid farewell
To her family and friends, with a story to tell
She traveled through mountains, and valleys so green
She saw the great ocean, and the stars up high
And learned of the world, with a curious eye
And grew as a person, with each passing strife
Maria returned home, with a heart full of cheer
And a story to share, of her journey so clear
And though she traveled far, and wide as could be
Her heart remained humble, and full of glee.
