Clear my mind it’s getting to full of unnecessary waste

Stop the Torment

Stop the torment, it claws at my skull,

A storm with no mercy, no rest, no lull,

My thoughts collide like sparks in a wire,

Each breath feeds a restless, rising fire.

Voices scatter, they bruise and they bite,

They flicker like shadows that feed on the night,

I press both hands just to quiet the scream,

chaos keeps tearing the seams of my dream.

Clocks shout louder than time ever should,

Each second splinters what once felt good,

I chase a silence I cannot hold,

A fragile peace that slips from my soul.

My heart pounds hard like a warning drum,

A signal of all I’ve tried to outrun,

Every memory sharp as a blade,

Every calm just a lie that will fade.

Get me out of this burning cage,

This mind that trembles with quiet rage,

I am still here beneath the noise,

A shattered echo of softer joys.

If there’s a door, then let it be found,

A place where my thoughts don’t scream so loud,

Where breath comes slow, where I can stay,

As the storm inside just drifts away.

I am not broken, just buried deep,

Under the weight I was meant to keep,

So I will rise, though it tears me apart,

I gather the pieces back into my heart.

Stop the torment, hear my plea,

Let there be stillness left for me,

For even storms must lose their breath,

so silence can outlive the threat.
