Stillness

poem

π‘Ίπ’•π’Šπ’π’π’π’†π’”π’”:

The snows breath heavy

in the breathless dark

stark in cold contrast

a warmth, in chilling depths

buried and dead

safe in the still night

the moon a gleam

on the frozen hue

laying with shadows

over a final resting place

beneath an old willow tree

with memories of a zombie

a princess and a rusted knight

salted ice

tears make a winter tea

over and ashen field

a place

a kingdom only

once upon a dream

of things , that meant

more than the world to me

and will never be

not a sound to be heard

not even a beating heart

faith lost in a hopeless love

emotions

that burned, cinders

left only ashes in their wake

covered by frosty flurries

silver on grey

shadows and glean

across a barren field

sad poetry
