As seconds turn into minutes and then hours.
I sit here trying not to let it devour me.
Time is just a play thing.
I blink and imagine myself as a KING.
Sitting upon my golden throne,
Built of my broken dreams and shattered bones.
As the world ages through centuries,
I just sit there as if in a penitentiary.
My life of remorse is one of my own choices.
Everything I let rule in it was led by my own VOICES.
Until I started to LISTEN.
Once I realize that the REAL voice glistens.
Not of my own, but of the most HIGH.
That is when the old me began to DIE.
It is an overwhelming calmness,
That promises to take away all the aloneness.
By HIS grace I can be assured.
That any obscurity will be lured and cured.
While slowly fading into myself,
I find measures of a MAN not known to me yet.
It is within THYSELF,
That I can begin to face my threats and forget.
Forget the ill and vile mile high list of tortious actions.
Distractions and abstractions no longer hold a place in my heart.
I seek only to be still in HIS love and show others the truth APART.
