Stereo

Listening with both ears

A lifetime spent in monotone

Compensating, unconsciously

Until a breath of sentience struck my soul

The vibrations of awakening

Opened channels of sentience

Redirecting pain and uncertainty

Now, every sound blasts

In unfiltered stereo

No longer living in

Ignorance of who I could

Unleash my power into becoming

Who had been hiding in plain sight

Mirroring my actions perfectly

Moving in my shadow

When the Muse called

Both halves were forced into the light

Left whole, trembling, and bewildered

No longer safely hiding

I am unleashed on the beat

Bursting at the seams with

Pent-up potential energy

Sound gripping my spine

Drawing circles in space

Like a child scribbling with a crayon

I frantically swirl

With the abandon of a rag doll toy
