Steer the Sea

Ocean craving

Salty the night

fear blooming in meadow

disdain, forgiveness

mingle and dance

step into nightmare,

up in dreams,

come back, tiptoe

into a deeper night

foul whispers become bold,

wind listens, and torment

begins another tune.

***

Why do you hearken,

what can stop

temptation twists revenge,

so sweet,

dread lingers trail

into last wish

start once again,

build hope

where only anger dwells.

***

Can you sense rage

flourishing in your veins

have you learned each tone

and the song?

Grabs soul accords

weave frozen scream

you sing, and yet,

you don't know where your voice

was left.

***

Behind, too far ahead

right here,

in walking lifeless nightmare

unravel your true colors

none can run now,

trapped in your eyes,

each spirit that looked once

could never leave

ensnared

by candor, innocence

you know so well to feign

until another well of tears

fills,

becomes waterfall.

***

This anguish loves you

and you hate it back

deceit, favored dessert

claws going higher

in each rainbow.

What hope still breathes,

is your rage strong enough

to stop the joy and laughter

that tear your hate

apart?

***

Bird preying on good deeds

wings grew while you were sleeping

with eyes wide shut

foul voyage starts

a nothing greater than your dusk,

unlit soul

and undead

radiant shriek.
