Stay Charged

inspired by a horoscope

Stay Charged

I was born with my head full of lightning
and questions.
An observer of galaxies
that refuse to learn my name.

My sun lives where magic is air,
where ideas have wings,
and rules
dissolve into dust.
I gather pieces of that world
and imagine they could become
a place I could stay warm
without setting myself on fire.

But my moon,
my moon
is a wildfire–
barefoot and blazing.
She acts before thinking,
burns with the impossible need
to be seen,
to never pretend
the flame is not here.

Between them I stand
in the dead air
where the signal drops,
a frequency I can't quite tune to.
Just noise.
Just waiting in stillness.

My mind says: wait for the air to clear.
My body says: stay charged.
