Starry Night

A Poem

Pyramids of little lights across the sky,

A grid of lines and assorted dots that shimmer and shine,

In the sky they twinkle

The night is a starry night,

Through the passing clouds they glow,

Like LED’s on a bedroom ceiling

The air is gentle,

It has a calmness,

The air is sleeping;

I should be too but I sit and watch -

Sit and watch how they surround the moon,

How they connect the dots

Dot to Dot across the night sky,

Making lines and other forms,

Brilliantly exhibited

These starry nights mean a lot to me -

Remembering many starry nights like this
