🌄☀️🌞🌅
Like a stairway to heaven for those who like it hot
I’ll sit here and watch because I do not.
It tells it is time, that big orange ball,
Warms up the earth for one and all.
Now as it sets, its message is clear
The day is now over, the evening is near,
I’ll be back tomorrow, like every day of the year.
If it's cloudy, you may not see me at all,
I’m still in the sky, just a big orange ball.
Tonight, I invite you to spend the evening with me,
Just climb up my staircase; what fun it will be.

[A/n: This poem was inspired by the sunset a couple of nights ago. I took this image from my house. When the water is reasonably calm, it looks just like a staircase leading up to the setting sun. The full moon is already showing behind the sun. It reminded me of the "Staircase to the Moon." This natural phenomenon is unique to Western Australia’s North West. The rising full moon reflects over the tidal flats, creating the illusion of a shimmering staircase reaching up to the sky. Occurring between March and October each year, it’s one of Broome’s most magical sights.
It is a very spiritual event, often celebrated with night markets, food stalls, and live entertainment, making it as much a community gathering as a natural spectacle. As the sun sets, a didgeridoo plays a haunting accompaniment.]
Till next time,
