Stained Glass

Shattered

By SophiaPublished 5 years ago 1 min read
Cavernous Malformation

Lost now in a sea of movement, trying to find the horizon line.

Waver from the pit of my stomach, grasping fast for some balance.

Breath in to fill the gaps, calming the mind to slow down time.

Vision breaks into glass, kaleidoscope of pink brush strokes.

Rosey cracks like lattice, spiderweb on my perceptual lens.

Blushing colors in bloom, flowering warm tones across the floor.

Such a beautiful sight, wish it wasn’t happening inside my mind.

Such a curious time, wish it wasn’t seizing inside my eyes.

Such a delicate life, wish it wasn’t bleeding inside my brain.

This shattered stained glass, a gift passed from my grandmother.

This knot of vein clot, a test passed from the universe.

This unique pink moment, a page passed from the new chapter.
