The tears fall down my cheeks,
warming them.
Redness sets in.
Flushed.
Bruised.
Breaking from the inside out.
No doubt I'll never get past these fears.
Dying alone.
Feeling unloved.
Wanting nothing more than an embrace
that takes away all the pain.
But it doesn't exist.
No check marks on the list
of the things I need to feel and see…
You are not meant for me.
This life is too much to see,
and I am trapped in stagnancy here.
Adventure longed for,
but stuck here forevermore.
