_
Though the glory is there,
It is swiftly replaced by confusion.
Quickly dissolving in solution -
Of humanity everywhere.
_
Though joy is to be found,
It is quickly displaced by desperation.
So swiftly devolved is our revolution -
And so dies its sound.
_
So we blow our horns,
And we beat our drums.
But the banner lies torn,
And our hearts are numb.
_
And in our vanity,
We've abandoned what we are.
Given to inanity -
We've failed to raise the bar.
_
Still, our fight is worthwhile,
And in the quiet moments,
We carefully plan our movements.
For the race isn't over by a mile.
_
Each day, we gather strength,
And each new escalation
Brings us closer to elevation.
Though, they keep us at arm's length.
_
So we blow our horns,
And we beat our drums.
On our sleeves, we adorn
Our hearts, no longer numb.
_
And in their vanity,
That we've abandoned what we are -
They believe with inanity-
But we will not fail to raise the bar.
