Oh! for Spring,

For Spring to come,

After so much death

We need this birth,

This new beginning

Oh! for Spring,

For scents and sights

With no compare,

After so much

Drab dullness

Oh! for Spring,

For birds and butterflies

Fluttering about

After their rest,

The time has come

Oh! for Spring,

For stormy skies

That fill our nights

After a cloudy day

To release the torrent

Oh! for Spring Birth,

For anticipation of Summer Days,

After our Winter Slumber,

Awaiting the Autumn Moments

The Earth still turns
