Spiraling into the
labyrinth that is
overthinking.
Going down a rabbit hole
into the void.
My thoughts stretch through hallways
opening doors long sense closed.
What am I searching for,
I wonder?
My thoughts slice through my energy
And leave me out to dry
-
Why is letting go
so much harder than holding on?
I've known how to hold on
too tight
since I can remember.
I've always been one to white knuckle the steering wheel
of my life.
It has taken time
and many lessons
for me
to loosen that grip.
-
I wonder
will white knuckling ever
not be my first nature?
Will loosening my grip always take so much
effort?
-
The answer
I conclude
matters less
than my commitment
to finding out.
