Swell grief
Sail me to
Still waters
Parquet floors
Worn smooth
By unsteady feet
Tipsy twirling
Let’s lie down together
Interlocking fingers
Remember for us both
So I may forget
Four spheres
Anchored around me
Held motionless by
Rag rug coils
Inert, still
One by one
In my careful grasp
I hold them
Up to the light
Dust particles dance
Waltzing sunbeams
Around the room
Eye meets glass
A puzzle to pick apart
Are all choices thus
Mind palace
Brought to life
Its simple decor
Suits me well
