Noise fills the lungs

quiet fills the heart

hesitation keeps everything in place

While confidence shrinks from fear

The voice is passionate

but silenced by doubt

Straining to be noticed

tends to push desperation forward

as fitting in swallows uniqueness

leaving bits and pieces of individuality

scattered around a hallow skull

forces recreation of self-identity

shattering barriers of reason without thought

upholding each idea that crafts creativity

but dismissing the chains bound to silence
