A pale green room and I’m cuddled in white

Soft pink ribbons swirl gently round my small head.

Comfort enfolds, my eyes softly close... tucked snugly; secure in my soft cozy bed.

The cover’s so warm while the night feels so cold

I’m drifting off...on a smooth lullaby

The cat and the fiddle serenade pale yellow moon

rising up slow in the indigo sky.

The calf takes a leap of fiery blind ambition

soaring high through the vast moonlight

then vanishes swift as an earthbound thief

stealing away in the dark violet night

As time marches on in it’s mission

with a lumbering rumble and a silver-quick flashing of light

Now the color’s hot pink round my toes and I’m dancing in some stunning and red-hot boots.

The stars in the sky are all spinning above

Winds ripping up trees from their roots

Dust settles soft in the ebony darkness

turning ash into deep shades of blue

Grappling with loss and counting the cost

arms reaching out there for you.

Twilight sheds soft hues of calm stillness

as the world wraps itself up in deep gray.

Dawn breaks with a golden fresh glow of resilience

as brilliance lights up a new day.
