SOULFUL EYES

Your soulful eyes look at mine

Who hurt me?

No, who hurt you?

The laziness, the procrastination

We all sit in anticipation

When will we see what you can do?

What happened to the inspired you?

Time may not exist

But your time here ain’t timeless

You may not tell me how you feel

But the portals on your face show me what’s real

The whimpering in bed

The manic nights

Won’t help you get right

I’m sorry, that didn’t sound nice

To tell you honestly

This isn’t who you’re meant to be

Shining Bright

Doing right

Be creative so effortlessly

Burying your sorrows

And conquering your fears

No longer having to suffer and drip tears

Tell me this

Tell me this one thing

Are you afraid of happiness?

Or are you afraid of change?

Because procrastination is only built off of one thing.

I want to see you shine

Leave the shitty life behind

I know you’re worth more than you can fathom

And I can say that with enthusiasm

Because those soulful eyes tell me a story

A story where I know the ending will be glory

surreal poetry
