Soul In Distress

The Perils of Passage

By Katherine H KatePublished 4 years ago • 1 min read

The shadows of mist

scatters blue light

Slips into darkness

shattering bright

The wiles unseen

within the abyss

A feeling morose

its’ presence persists

Forge through the passage

a timid bell rings

Up in the distance

a nightingale sings

Twilight in peril

future surmise

No time to reason

the sudden surprise

Strength became fleeting

innately concerned

Hastily frightened

pointless return

Evolved in the distance

the image now clear

Standing alone

allaying all fear

Star shine from heaven

appeared on the lake

Eyes that now see

the passage to take

The soul moved swiftly

beyond the outer bounds

To enter in the garden

where it once came round

surreal poetry
