Shaman's Blues

Shaman's Blues

It’s well past midnight,

And a single blue spotlight

Illuminates the Shaman

Dancing like a king serpent.

Time is slipping away,

But it’s winter!

Every breath is icy cold,

Seeking your remaining warmth,

Sickly sweet, and heavy.

So hush, little baby.

Stretched out on a cool steel table,

Don’t you cry.
