Sorry Body

by Justine Zamora about a year ago in sad poetry

I am sorry.

Sorry Body

I'm sorry body.

I'm sorry Self.

I'm sorry for the pain,

For the sorrows,

For the judgements,

For the bitterness,

The hurt...

...and the hatred.

I'm sorry for putting you through all of that.

For stripping your innocence,

For washing away your beauty,

For replacing it with doubt,

With fear,

With grudges,

and tears.

I'm sorry for breaking,

For aching.

For causing the stress...

...and forgetting your best.

Body, if you only knew,

That even if we part,

I'd always go back to you.

I'm sorry body.
