This wanting that I feel inside my soul
Distracts me as I try to go to sleep
It takes over, and makes me feel not whole
And wakes me up with many thoughts too deep
It tells me I am not living my life
And only doing work now to survive
I have nothing in the present but strife
And in the future, cannot hope to thrive
This feeling chokes away my true desire
And fills me with despair in my own mind
What happened to the passion and the fire?
Why do I feel as though I am now blind?
I struggle now to feel whole and fulfilled
To build the life I truly want to build
