As I wander through the trees,
The forest in in bloom with evergreens.
Whispering in their soft winds,
For me to come on home.
They wonder where the small child has gone,
If she has really grown so long?
Though much about her has really changed,
They see something in her even she cannot.
It is this something that lets them know,
It is their child all grown.
And she needs them to teach her their song.
Once more.
To see the forest as so much more,
For they are most magical lands.
For when she learns the song again,
The strict law of reality begins to change...
A world filled with light and hope
Springs forth from inside the trees.
Where creatures of your deepest dreams lie,
And if you believe it you could fly.
A place were trees are like grandmothers,
And animals the best of friends.
Where mermaid sing songs of summers end,
And fairies exist just around the river bend.
A world were everything can be true,
A hidden place only for a few.
That can be found by those who listen,
To the songs of the trees.
