Somewhere in Germany

A poem about travel and destiny.

Yellow flowers on a train track,

Somewhere in Germany -

Graffiti on the side-streets.

Dawn light seeps through the windows

Somewhere in Germany

And glints off an old window pane.

A world of freedom to a word of doubt.

Somewhere in Germany

A crossroads of decisions and destiny.

Light and fog meet to either side,

Somewhere in Germany

Where fate, like a child, still plays.

Yellow flowers on a train track,

Somewhere in Germany,

Headed toward the sea.
