Something's Not Right

...

By T. LichtPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

Something's not right with this blue, green globe

with the buttery yellow sun sitting atop its mountains

climbing down the valleys, at night when no one sees

I promise, something's wrong with this trembling blue canopy

when it shakes off it's tie-dye skirt, rain never fails to fall

I promise something's wrong the way they portray stars down here.

Atop this blue green globe, they shine big-n-bright like a fireball

down here like fireflies, catch one if you can, but you arms' always too short

Oh something's wrong, something's very wrong with this giant blue green world

sunsets splurge on their paint, rainbows take a dabble, but the men

the men here they go around, heads down, this sad expression in the way they curve this lips.

Something's really not right with this blue, green, globe.
