'Something Better'

With all the high roads that I’ve missed along the way,

It’s hard to know which one I’m on today,

All the guilt of any mistakes I’ve made could eat a smile away,

With the reflection of my past the only way to find the peace,

Is to laugh and say maybe that’s the way it all was supposed to be.

Every sunny day is spent with thoughts of what life could have been,

Every rainy day lets me know I’m not alone once again,

With the shifting of the weather comes the thoughts of something better,

Maybe change is simply what everybody needs,
