Some Days...

It Chooses You

The insane or the holy,

The calm or wild release.

The days of endless chaos,

the nights of healing peace.

Some think I have the choice to choose,

which one comes out to play.

I learned long ago, not to confuse,

who has the final say.

I sit quietly and close my eyes,

surveying the stillness, in the morn.

So, I am not caught by surprise,

when confronted by the storm.

Both bring me sweet surrender,

one brings me piece of mind.

To confess or let you wonder,

which one I'd leave behind.

Another day is ending,

time for mischief to arrive.

With doom or pleasure, impending,..

which one will make it out alive?
