Some Days

Some days the sun smiles.

And some nights the moon reveals its glow.

Sometimes I find comfort in the sound of crashing thunder.

And nestle in the song of rain.

Other days the heat overstays its welcome.

Other nights the moon hides its face.

Other times the sound of thunder resembles my Father's wrath.

And the rain impersonates my Mother's tears.

I suppose there's no warmth without light.

Or solace without the touch of darkness.

Or family without a storm's voice to hear.

I suppose that it just depends on the day.

And some days that's okay.

And other days it's not.
