transient comforts to disharmony

A Dark unending tunnel and bird without a cage

A howling winds whistle and rockfall, no escape

A futile climb up muddied cliffs and slip back to the start

A wailing widow in the street and omnipresent silence

The faintest glow of distant lamp and dawn that splits the rage

The calmness of the storms eye and rerecorded tape

The cushioned fall in spotters arms and channelling to Art

The focus trained on what remains and naïve child's sense

A dog that sits with hanging ears and master not returning

The neighbour's clap, a good boy pat

The comforts douse soul's burning.
